You can manage your pension benefits online. Here are answers to the frequently asked questions we receive on the registration, login and forgotten password processes to help get you online.

How do I register for my account?

To register go to https://secure.affinitywaterpensions.co.uk/ and enter the following personal information:   

  • Surname 
  • Date of Birth
  • National Insurance Number 
  • Mobile telephone number 
  • Personal email address

You’ll be asked to choose a username and password.  Your username must be at least 8 characters, and can include upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, or symbols.  Your password must be at least 9 characters, include both upper- and lower-case letters, at least one number and one special character or symbol from !£$%^&*\-_=+@#~.?. 
Once added, click Submit. 

A One Time Code will be sent by text message to the mobile phone number you provided, or by text to speech to a landline phone number.  Please enter the One Time Code within 30 minutes to complete registration and click Submit.

If you don’t complete your registration within the time slot, you’ll be returned to the start of the process. 

How do I log in to my account?

All you have to do is click here and enter your username and password which you created during registration.  A One Time Code will then be automatically sent to the mobile phone/landline phone number you created during registration by text message or through text to speech functionality if your landline supports this.

The One Time Code is valid for 30 minutes so please enter this within the timescale.

I've forgotten my login details, what do I do?

If you have forgotten your username, please contact the administration team who can confirm this to you providing you answer security questions correctly.  The administration team contact details can be found in the Contact us section of the website.

I'm not receiving my One Time Code

Since early 2026 some members are no longer receiving their one-time codes because mobile networks have tightened up their spam and scam checks, or because of problems with certain networks and settings.  Please try the following steps to review your spam settings. 

If you use an iPhone

Option 1: Unblock PRISM from an old message

·            If you have received messages from PRISM before:

·            Open the Messages app.

·            Open the message from PRISM.

·            Tap PRISM at the top of the screen.

·            Tap Unblock this Caller.

Option 2: Unblock through your phone settings

·            Open the Settings app.

·            Scroll down and tap Messages or Phone.

·            On some phones, you may need to tap Apps first, then Messages.

·            Scroll down and tap Blocked Contacts.

·            Tap Edit in the top right corner.

·            Find the contact you want to unblock.

·            Tap the red minus sign (-) next to the contact.

·            Tap Unblock.

Option 3: If PRISM is listed under unknown blocked contacts

·            Open the Settings app.

·            Tap Apps, then tap Messages.

·            Scroll down and tap Blocked Contacts.

·            Tap Unknown to open the list.

·            Find PRISM and tap it.

·            Tap Unblock Contact.

If you use an Android phone

Option 1: Unblock through the Messages app

·            Open the Messages app.

·            Tap your profile picture or icon in the top right corner.

·            Tap Spam & blocked.

·            Find the conversation or contact you want to unblock.

·            Tap it, then tap Unblock.

Option 2: Unblock through the Phone app

·            Open the Phone app.

·            Tap the three dots in the top corner.

·            Tap Settings.

·            Tap Blocked Numbers.

·            Find the number you want to unblock.

Remove it from the blocked list.

When I click on 'Forgotten password' or 'Don't have an account, register?', I am taken back to the 'Welcome' screen, why am I stuck in a loop?

It may be that some details have been cached (or 'temporarily stored') in your web browser from previous web sessions which is preventing you from going down the 'Forgotten password' or 'Don't have an account, register?' routes. Clearing your internet browser history can fix this.
